Intuit's Global Engineering Days is a bi-annual world-wide hackathon for the company's global engineering community. GED brings 8k technologists from around the world to participate in a week-long celebration coding, fun, and innovation.
GED re-used the thematic container "Out of this world", and the idea of "Portals" was a connection to the previous event's vintage NASA, thus becoming the second chapter of our creative strategy. Through the lens of space and time travel for this GED, the "portal" was taking our engineering community to new realms where they can innovate and solve customer problems. We took that creative and developed a visual language that derived from our "core tech identity" elements.
Through various explorations and creative sprints, we created a series of portals across the campaign, including a life-sized version used as part of the tech community all hands stage craft that doubled as a popular photo opp.
